Sex, Maturation & the Internet

I, Lhea J. Love, may be the least qualified person to edit a literary journal of sex writing. Under the age of thirty, I do not have any books published, nor do I have any short stories published. I am a consumer of erotica; namely, I am a reader. Just like the writers who submit to Literarily:Erotic, I also send my poetry, essays and short stories out to literary journals. I self-publish chapbooks and (attempt to) write e-books.

I am not a sex-pert. I am simply a single mother who has never had a boyfriend. Most of the positions I read about, I have never tried myself. However, I believe that one's sexuality is a significant portion of your overall health. Your sexual health impacts your spirituality and religion; psychology and emotions; and of course, your physical health.

Why Literarily? I am certain that having a healthy sex-life, literally and literarily, is one of the most important efforts you can pursue throughout your life. The pursuit of sexuality without violence, without shame is not only a goal of Literarily as a journal, but a personal goal of mine as a woman.

As a child, I read the Bad Girl Guides. I was hooked. I was a regular on BadGirlGuide.com. As an adolescent, it was the healthiest source of information I had pertaining to womanhood and sexuality. I am editing Literarily:Erotic with the understanding that many readers (and contributors) may be teens. Hopefully, you and all of the readers understand that healthy sexual relationships are indispensable. And if at any point in your past, your sexual health and sexual respect has been violated, I hope that you understand that healing and transcendence is possible.

Since I've been reading erotica longer than I've actually been having sex, I'm probably a novice at both. I am hoping to learn a lot about how to write, how to edit and how to have a healthy sex life.

Literarily,
Lhea J.
